Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You’re never locked into anything and it’ll be an easy transition to get your data from Finch.

If I cancel my services, how do I get my data?

We input all data and information into your Quickbooks Online (QBO) file, so that everything is maintained in your account and there is nothing to transfer from us after cancellation.

What does the first charge with Finch pay for?

The first payment that you process through our website pays for our onboard fee. The onboard fee covers the work we do to get your account set up and ready to go — including an onboarding call with our team, building out your backend infrastructure, and a detailed follow-up work to get everything we need to serve you well from day one.

Is the onboard fee refundable?

The onboard fee is fully refundable up until the onboard call takes place. Once that call has occurred, the fee is non-refundable — by that point we’ve completed the call with our team, built out your backend infrastructure, and sent over your onboarding recap, all of which represent work completed on our end.

How do I get my existing books and information to Finch?

Sometimes it’s as easy as simply sending your Balance Sheet and Income Statement; sometimes it’s more difficult. We’ll help you every step of the way and work with you closely.

How do I pay Finch?

It’s easy! When you sign up here for our services, we collect your payment with our secure online payment processor. That charge simply becomes a recurring charge for every month that you use Finch.

I haven’t done my books or taxes in a while. Do you provide catch-up services?

Yes we do! Contact us to learn more about what we can do for you.

Can you file my taxes?

While we are a registered CPA firm, we limit our accounting services to bookkeeping and accounting, and don’t offer tax-filing services for your business and personal returns.

How do I get information on my finances?

Each client has a Finch portal where you can login to access your monthly Finch report. The Finch report has all financial statements along with added metrics created by your Finch analyst to help you better manage your organization.

Does Finch handle check requests and expense reimbursements?

We have a web application that can facilitate check requests and expense reimbursements for you and your team. We then send out payments twice a week.

Do you prepare W2s, 1099s, and file necessary payroll taxes (e.g. 940 or 941)?

If you use Finch Payroll for your payroll needs, we will handle all payroll tax payments and filings. If you use Finch for your bookkeeping needs, we will handle all 1099 filings for you.

How does the pricing structure work?

We tried to make this as easy as possible. Essentially, we charge based on monthly income (for churches and nonprofits) and monthly expenses (for businesses). For every $10K in income or expenses (based on your organization) we increase the fee to a new level. We check and recalibrate the Finch fee once a year.

If I use Quickbooks, do I need to maintain my subscription?

You will simply add us as an accountant. From there, we will be able to take over the bookkeeping.

Do you prepare Giving Statements for churches and non-profits?

Yes! It’s an added feature that we can prepare and send at the end of the year for an additional charge.
